Overview
This guide walks you through Emergencize step by step, from setting up your account to sending an alert and sharing your location with trusted contacts.
Sign Up
- Open the Sign Up page from the top bar.
- Choose Google sign-in or create an account with email.
- Finish the verification steps and sign in.
Add Trusted Contacts
- Go to the Dashboard.
- Open the Contacts section.
- Add people you trust and confirm their details.
Allow Location Access
- When prompted, allow location permission in your browser.
- Verify the location indicator is active on the dashboard.
- Keep location enabled to share it during alerts.
Enable Notifications
- Accept notification prompts for critical alerts.
- Make sure your device allows notifications for Emergencize.
- Confirm that test alerts arrive as expected.
Trigger an Emergency Alert
- Open the emergency panel on the dashboard.
- Select the alert type that matches your situation.
- Confirm the alert to notify your trusted contacts.
Chat with Contacts
- Open the chat panel during an alert.
- Send updates or instructions to your contacts.
- Review incoming messages for coordination.
End an Alert
- Open the active alert panel.
- Select the option to end the alert.
- Confirm that your contacts are notified of the end.
Review and Update Settings
- Visit the Settings page from the dashboard.
- Update profile details and notification preferences.
- Revisit this guide whenever the workflow changes.
