Step-by-step guide to using Emergencize - from signup to your first alert.

This guide walks you through Emergencize step by step, from setting up your account to sending an alert and sharing your location with trusted contacts.

Sign Up

  1. Open the Sign Up page from the top bar.
  2. Continue with Google. Your email and avatar are used to find you.
  3. Accept the Terms and Privacy Policy.

Add Trusted Contacts

  1. Go to the Dashboard.
  2. Open the Contacts section and add by email.
  3. Wait for them to accept, then they become part of your circle.

Allow Location Access

· step 04 ·
  1. When prompted, allow precise location in your browser.
  2. Verify the GPS indicator is green on the dashboard.
  3. Keep location enabled to share it during alerts.

Enable Notifications

  1. Accept the notification prompt for critical alerts.
  2. Make sure your device allows notifications for Emergencize.
  3. Confirm that test alerts arrive as expected.

Trigger an Emergency Alert

  1. Open the emergency panel on the dashboard.
  2. Hold the DANGER or HELP button for 3 seconds.
  3. Release before the countdown finishes to cancel - otherwise your contacts are notified.

Share Live Location

· step 07 ·
  1. Keep location sharing enabled during an active alert.
  2. Check that the map indicator is updating every few seconds.
  3. Stay on the page to keep sharing in real time.

Chat with Contacts

· step 08 ·
  1. Open the chat panel during an alert.
  2. Send updates or instructions to your contacts.
  3. Review incoming messages for coordination.

End an Alert

· step 09 ·
  1. Open the active alert panel.
  2. Tap Resolve when the situation is safe.
  3. Your contacts are notified that you are okay.

Review and Update Settings

· step 10 ·
  1. Visit the Settings page from the dashboard.
  2. Update profile details and notification preferences.
  3. Switch theme between light, dark, and system there.
