By accessing and using Emergencize ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Emergencize is a real-time emergency alert system designed to help users quickly get help in dangerous or urgent situations by:

  • Sending emergency alerts to trusted contacts
  • Sharing GPS location data
  • Providing real-time communication channels
  • Maintaining offline functionality where possible

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the Service only for legitimate emergency and safety purposes
  • Not abuse the emergency alert system for non-emergency situations
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Keep your trusted contacts list updated with consent from listed individuals

Emergency Services Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Emergencize is NOT a replacement for official emergency services (911, 112, or other local emergency numbers). In case of a real emergency, ALWAYS contact official emergency services first.

The Service is designed to supplement emergency response by notifying your personal trusted contacts. We do not guarantee:

  • Immediate delivery of alerts
  • Receipt of alerts by trusted contacts
  • Availability of the Service at all times
  • Accuracy of GPS location data

Data Usage and Location Sharing

By using the Service, you consent to:

  • Collection and sharing of your GPS location with trusted contacts during emergency alerts
  • Storage of your profile and contact information
  • Real-time communication data being processed through our servers
  • Offline data caching on your device for functionality

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Abuse the emergency alert system
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Compromise the safety or security of other users

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any damages arising from use or inability to use the Service
  • We are not responsible for failed alert deliveries or location inaccuracies
  • We are not liable for actions taken by emergency services or trusted contacts

Modifications to Service and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
  • Update these Terms of Service with notice to users
  • Change features, functionality, or availability

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
